“On May 6 join thousands of people around the world to change lives. It’s simple, you can walk, run, or even push a stroller in World Vision’s Global 6K for Water and provide clean water to one person! How- ever you cross the nish line, you’ll know you’ve made a difference to someone in need.”

We will be meeting at Lot D at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on May 6th at 7:30 AM - Starting the Run/Walk at 8:00 AM. This will be a great opportunity to get out with other members of Village Church as well as members of 3 other churches and come together as local missionaries!

If you would like to participate, but feel that you can't complete the Run/Walk we are looking for people to volunteer to help at water stations along the course to help keep our Runners/Walkers hydrated. We also need people to help hand out medals at the finish line and cheering all of the people on!

  • Why 6K? 6 kilometers is the average distance people in the developing world walk for water; water that is often unsafe to drink. Walk or run 6K so they don’t have to.

  • When: May 6, 2017

  • What: A collection of people all around the world, walking and running 6K on the same day for the same cause.

  • Why $50? Through World Vision’s water projects, $50 provides one person with clean water.

  • Individualized Impact Your $50 registration fee will provide clean water for one person that lasts through WV water projects.

  • Increased Impact Every 6K walker / runner = one person in the developing world who will get clean water. When more people register and more people fundraise, more people get clean water!

  • Every child deserves clean water—and we are committed to delivering it.

  • Every day, nearly 1,000 children die from diarrhea caused by contaminated water, poor sanitation, and unsafe hygiene practices—more than from AIDS and malaria combined.

  • World Vision is the largest nongovernmental provider of clean water in the developing world–reaching one new person with clean water every 30 seconds.

  • Our sustainable water programs are part of a bigger, integrated plan that gives local people ownership of solutions and addresses every piece in the complex puzzle of poverty.

  • Our water, sanitation, and hygiene efforts are part of a full plan that addresses the many factors that perpetuate poverty, all under-girded with a desire that people experience fullness of life as Jesus references in John 10:10.

  • You can continue the relationship with the child on your bib by becoming their sponsor! As a child sponsor your monthly commitment will help enable your child to enjoy good health, education and protection.

  • You’ll support families and community leaders in building a healthy environment for their kids to grow, thrive and reach their God-given potential.

  • When you sponsor your child you can write them their first letter and take a photo with your race bib to send to them as your first “official” photo together.
